Lagoon!

Kyle and I were able to go to Lagoon on Saturday for Kyle's work party!! It was a ton of fun!! Plus we got in for $10 each with a free dinner included!! Yay!!

The favorite ride of the day was Wicked! I forgot how fun this ride is!!! Love it! At the beginning of the day Kyle and I were wondering if we would run into anyone we know. He said we'll probably see some of his work buddies, but wouldn't it be way funny if we ran into Taylor? I said, oh that wont happen, I don't think she's coming to Lagoon today. And who do you think we ran into about 4 hours later....? Taylor and her brother Aaron! Also there for a work party!!!! What are the odds! That was the most exciting part of my day! We had a grand time hanging out with them for the rest of the day!
Taylor & Aaron (borrowed pic from FB)
I won't waste time with boring details. Just know we had a blast, and ran into the awesome Taylor and Aaron!!!

Lovin Summer, or is it Summer Lovin? ;)

It has been a while since my last post, so this is going to be my catchup time :) Sorry if it is scrambled or doesn't make sense. This is mostly for me, kind of like a journal :)

May 29-31
This week we went down to St. George for my Grandma Applegate's homecoming. She has been on a mission in Salt Lake for the past 18 months. It was so good to see all the family. We don't get together that often! My cousin Devin was there, I haven't seen him since his mission so that was way fun!
While we were down there we got some fishing in at Quail Creek Reservoir. It was a lot of fun, and the fish were way fun to catch! We also got to explore Dixie Rock. Kyle went through this tiny crack, I was to scared I wouldn't fit, so I just took pics :)
We left early Monday morning to make it for the Memorial Day BBQ with the Bradfords!! :) So much fun! I'm glad we were able to get so much done that weekend!!

June 4-6
We went on a spur of the moment camping trip up to Payson Lakes! This was so much fun! We wanted to try out all of our new camping stuff! We pulled into the campground around 8:30 with just enough light left to set up our tent! We had a dinner of roasted hot dogs, my favorite camping food!! On Saturday we woke up early, attempted to make a breakfast that didn't go quite as planned and went fishing for the rest of the day!! I have never fished that long in my life!! It was a lot of fun though, as long as I have Kyle by me! The fish we kept and cooked were amazing! We roasted them right over the fire with lemon pepper! Amazing! Best way to cook fish ever!! :)
We had so much fun! It was nice to get away with just Kyle, I love that guy so much!

June 10-13
This week was so busy!!! Between softball games, cooking for neighbors, mini golf with friends, and "dog watching" we were never home! Which isn't the best after a camping trip. Hard to keep up with the house.
Thursday and Friday nights we hung out with our friends John and Ashley. We went mini golfing on Thursday and on Friday we invited them over for homemade pizza and games at Kyle's parents house while we watched their dog for the weekend. Kyle's parents actually came home Friday night. Their trip was not a very pleasant one with all the rain and the cold, so they came home early.
We spent all day Saturday with the Olsen's. I got all my laundry done for free. It was so rainy. It was nice to have a day to just chill and get some stuff done.
Sunday was Krissy's birthday!!! We went over for dinner and some apple crisp! She's 15! wow, one more year and that girl is gonna be a heart breaker ;)

June 18-20
Fathers day weekend! We went camping again!!! With the Bradford side of the family! So much fun!!! We went fishing, shooting, hiking, and more fishing! I love camping so much! It is one of my favorite things to do!
I have only been shooting once in my life, and I wasn't very good. So Kyle borrowed a 22 and we went shooting! Thanks to the wonderful advice of my hubby, mom, and dad, I was able to actually hit our targets! I didn't do to bad at all, we all had a really good time. My mom is probably the best aim out of all of us. Pretty sweet!

June 21
I decided to do something i have never done before! I went and got my hair highlighted. It was pretty sweet! I was a hair model for Aveda Hair School. I got an all over color with blond foils through the top all for $20, and it turned out great!! What do you think? I am sure enjoying the change.

Again sorry for such a long post, I'll try to be better at posting as things happen so I don't have to play catchup so much!

Birthday fun!

My birthday was on the 14th of May, I am now 20 years old. For my birthday Kyle had a wonderful day planned out he was going to surprise me with. He had called my work and scheduled me the day off, he was going to come in and steal me away to Boondocks and out to dinner that night. The night before my birthday Kyle got really sick and couldn't hardly move the next morning.
So he told me what he had planned and how sad he was he couldn't do it. Kyle felt bad he couldn't surprise me, so he had his mom pick me up some flowers and candy and take it to my work! It was so fun seeing her and the sweet flowers from Kyle! I still took most of the day off work, and took care of my sweetie.

My parents and Taylor came over to wish me a happy birthday! We all went out to eat except Kyle cuz he was just to sick. We went to Joe Banditos in Springville. It was super good and fun. Taylor and I have celebrated our birthdays together forever! It was fun to keep that tradition.

The next day Kyle was feeling a little better and decided we could still have our birthday plans, just minus the surprise part. We went to Boondocks, but not out to eat cuz he was still feeling pretty iffy. I'd never been to Boondocks, it was way fun! So despite my sick hubby, my birthday was wonderful!

A Night Out

Saturday was one great day! My wonderful husband treated me to a wonderful night out! When he got home from school we decided to go to the Springville Art Museum for some extra credit in Kyle's art class. It was fun going to the museum, I haven't been there in a long time. He had to write a review on one of the exhibits. Most were closed, or being redone, but we found one called Hard Times, An Artist's View. Really cool, if anyone wants to go see it.

Once we got home and got his paper all done, I asked what he wanted to do tonight. He said he had a couple ideas already. He told me to go get something pretty on and we would go out to dinner! He's so sweet! He took me to Olive Garden for dinner. It was Orem High School's prom as well, so we had to wait a while, but that didn't matter, we enjoyed looking at all the kids at prom and how dorky some of them were. Dinner was just wonderful! Nothing like Italian food to start off a wonderful evening. After dinner we decided to go see a movie because Kyle had some free tickets from work. We went and saw How to Train Your Dragon. Super cute movie! We loved it in 3D. Good movie for kids and adults!

I know this post may seem like I'm just blurting this all out, so sorry if it is unorganized. I just wanted to say how much I love my wonderful husband! He makes every day special and worth while! I'm so lucky to have him!

St. George with the Married kids!

For Spring Break we decided to go to St George! All of us married Applegate kids. Julie, Matt, Lincoln, Scott, Carlye, Kyle, and I all packed up and headed down for a great weekend of warmth and fun! Our weekend included golfing, shopping, hiking, and sushi! So much fun! I will have to add pictures later, once I get some copies from Julie! Silly me, forgot the camera...

I know this post is late, I've had it in my drafts to write about it for a good while!

A Week With the Girls

This past week Kyle and I got to go stay with Kaitie and Krissy while mom and dad were out of town. It was fun to spend some time with them! We watched movies, played games, ate good food, and even got out to go bowling!

The first night we were there didn't go so well. I started getting sick, just a head cold, nothing to serious, but it sure kept me from sleeping good. I was awake at 4am! So i decided at 5 I would go talk to Kaitlin before she left for cheer. That girl impresses me so much with her self disicpline! She is out the door by 5:30 for cheer almost everyday! She also likes to challenge herself. The current challenge is to not eat any meat until the end of the school year! That is one thing I could never do. I can hardly think of anything to cook that doesn't have meat in it! Props to her though, she is going strong!

Krissy is one amazing girl as well! She is crazy good at gymnastics and puts her whole self into everything she does. Krissy loves games! We played Monopoly several times this weekend, I kicked butt once and only once! I haven't played that game for years! I totally love having little sisters!!!

Kyle and I are pretty much the best lasagna makers in the world... well maybe not, but we do make a pretty awesome lasagna. We made lasagna from scratch! It was alot of fun! I love my Italian hubby!
